I like directing and I would like to do more of it. This is also how I feel about DMT.

I spent the first decade of this century devising shows for both my own theatre company and other people, and then the following decade making a lot of solo stuff. 

Along the way I have learnt how to craft a show. I love it... the little tricks, the rules that don’t mean anything, the flailing around in the swampy darkness, the gradual sifting until tiny specks of gold appear. A few years ago I began applying what I have learnt - my own theories on theatre and performance and comedy - to other people’s work. It always feels like such an honour to help give birth to someone’s idea. It’s really sacred business.
